| Description |
English: A view north up the River Orwell in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. Taken from Ranelagh Road (the B1075), the camera location is not on a bridge over the river but on the grass verge by the road. The barrier separates the river bank from the verge - behind it the river curves away to the east. The grey girder is a rail bridge, carrying a line which connects the Ipswich Goods Yard on the Great Eastern Main Line to the west, with the Lower Yard/Dock sidings to the east. Beyond that can be seen the white pylon and cables of the Sir Bobby Robson Bridge, a cable-stayed bridge allowing pedestrians and cyclists to get from the new Voyage development on the west bank to the town on the east. |
