Description
English: This photo shows three vehicles on display at an Open Day held at Barking Bus Garage. The green single-decker is RF539 (NLE 539) a 1953 AEC Regal IV with Metro-Cammell 39-seater bodywork. Its destination blind shows Green Line route 723 which used to run between London (Aldgate) and Tilbury Ferry via Barking and Grays. The red bus on the left is STL2377 (EGO 426), a 1937 AEC Regent I with LPTB 56-seater bodywork that was withdrawn in 1953. Its destination blind shows route 145 that used to run between Chingford Station and Dagenham. The red bus on the far right is RT1702 (KYY 529), a 1950 AEC Regent III with Park Royal 56-seater bodywork. Its destination blinds show route 13 and Golders Green Station, that route which used to run between London (Victoria) and North Finchley via Golders Green.
