English: Burton wellhead The plaque reads
This wellhead was built by the Monson Estate to provide fresh water for the village. It remained in daily use until 1910 when it was replaced by a piped water supply from Lincoln. The wellhead was restored to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Her majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, 5th June 2002. Funded by village donations and Waste Recycling Environmental PLC |
