SIXTEEN BEST NEW ROSES. 159 The r)est New Hoses for 1895. We have selected the ten varieties offered below as the best New Ever-Blooming Eoses for the year, and have put the prices down to a reasonable point. All who wish to add to their collection of Eoses can rely on the varieties named ; they have been carefully chosen from a large importation, and we can safely say that each is distinct and worthy of the praise given it. GERMAINE TRICHON. This will prove a valuable climbing Rose for the South ; flowers large and globu- lar; color light salmon with nankeen orange-yellow centers; very vigorous in habit of gi-owth. 25 cts. each. GRAZIELLA. This lovely new Eose has received several silver medals in France; large, very full flowers which open well; color cream-white, delicately shaded pink, with petals of satiny substance. 50 cts. each. LA NIEGE. We predict great popularity for this lovely new Daily Rose. The tiowers are medium in size, very double, and constantly borne in the greatest profusion. The pure white flowers resemble anemones. 25 cts. MADAME CARNOT. This new French Eose will be much appreciated for its beautiful pointed buds borne on fine, long stems; flowers very large and fragrant; color white, shading to pale sulphur-yellow. 25 cts. each. MADAME EDWARD HELFENBIEN. One of the most distinct and striking new Eoses. The buds and flowers are full and globular with petals of good sub- stance; color a chamois apricot-yellow, shaded with carmine-rose, beautifully veined. 35 cts. each. MADAME JULES FINGER. A new Hybrid Tea of great beauty; large, full, globular flowers, freely borne on long stems; color beautiful cream-white, shaded rose; salmon-colored center. 50 cts. each. SPECIAb OFFER. MADAME LOUIS LAURENS. Valuable for bedding because of its vigorous, dwarf, fi*ee-flowering habit of growth; splendid, full flowers of a deep red, shaded with carmine. 25 cts. each. MARIANA VERGARA. Another variety valuable for bedding; habit of growth dwarf and vigorous, with beautiful buds and flowers profusely produced; color deep red, shading to carmine. 25 cts. each. PERLE DE FEU. This is a perfect little gem, with beautifully formed buds and flowers of a color so intense that its name in English, "The Fire Pearl,"is a true description. Imagine intense vermilion with yellow and chamois reflections. 35 cts. each. YVONNE GRAVIER. Medium-size flowers freely borne. The color is a lovely combination of creamy- white, shaded in center canary-yellow; reverse of petals light rose. A delightful new Eose. 25 cts. each. We will send the entire Collection of ten best new Roses for 1895, one *-»--"- —»^~*»*-* * m. M>y strong plant of each, for only $2.00, postpaid. Six 5est New Roses of 1894 for 75 Cts. Out of all the new Eoses introduced last year the following six possess distinct and lasting merits. A large stock of each has been grown, which enables us to offer the collection of six, postpaid, for only 75 cts. Each variety included is a gem, and whether ordered singly or in sets, nothing better in New Roses can be had for the money. MAM AN COCHET. One of the best new Roses of last year. The growth is vigorous, with rich, healthy foliage. The extra large, double flowers are produced on long stems; the buds and hall-expanded flowers are simply exquisite in their graceful form, delicate tints, and rich fra- grance. The color is deep rose-pink, the inner side of petals silvery- rose. We know this really valuable variety will win its way with every lover of beautiful Roses. The illustration herewith was taken from a photograph and is two-thirds the natural size. 20 cts. each. LEO XIII. This wonderful Rose will win everyone because of its beautiful buds, which are as long and of the same shape as Niphetos. Strong and vigor- ous in growth, with light-green foliage. Color white, shading to pale yellow, with a center of light rose; very double; very fragrant. 20 cts. each. DIRECTEUR RENE GERARD. Extra large, very double flowers, with a remarkable combination of colors. The brilliaut petals of light yellow are bordered with china-rose, changing toward the base of petals to deep golden-yellow ; center rich, bright peach color. 25 cts. each. BEAUTY INCONSTANT. A novel and distinct Rose. The colors are variable, and often upon a single plant there are what to the casual observer would be three different varie- ties of Roses in coloring,—brightest red, deep carmine lined with rich, clear yellow,—cer- tainly a remarkable combination. 20 cts. each. BRIDESMAID. This exquisite new Tea Rose is considered an improved Catharine Mermet, from which it is a sport; lovely, pointed buds on long stems ; color delicate pink. A lovely name and a lovely Rose. 15 cts. each. GENERAL ROBERT E. LEE. This magnificent new Rose, raised by Mr. Meehan, of Richmond, Virginia, and named by him, was introduced last year, and sold for 50 cts. each. The following is from the description of the introducer: "It is a true ever-blooming Tea Rose; a vigorous grower ; every flower comes perfect; there is no other Rose like it in this respect. It is extremely beautiful, both in bud and in the open flower. Color is soft nas- turtium-yellow or coppery-bronze. Altogether it is a very wonderful Rose." 20 cts. each. f^fMU'T Pf>0/21CT that for onlv 75 cts. you can get L/V^AN 1 rUi\uDl postpaid, the six superb New* Koses named above.
