Description
English: Illustrations in a Manuscript of talismans and tattoos from Burma.
  • upper image: half-human, half-bird creature and is known as a "Kinnara." This mythical beast was originally an Indian creation thought to inhabit the Himalayas. The legend spread to the countries of southeast Asia, including Burma.
  • lower image: three-headed peacock.
