Íslenska: Um 1912-1917, Vesturgata 13, Dúkskot. Það var tómthúsbýli reist í landi Hlíðarhúsa um 1800. Bærinn var nefndur Dúkskot þar sem fyrsti ábúandinn, Jón Jónsson var frá Dúki í Staðarhreppi í Skagafirði. Dúkskot var við Hlíðarhúsastíg (Vesturgata) og stóð í núverandi götustæði Garðastrætis. Árið 1913 bjó annar Jón Jónsson í Dúkskoti. Hann átti systur, Júlíönu að nafni, sem banaði honum með eitri. Dúkskot varð því þekktur bær þar sem hann komst í fréttir, enda má segja að þetta mál hafi orðið fyrsta æsifréttaefni dagblaða í Reykjavík. Júlíana var dæmd til lífláts árið 1914 en refsingin milduð. Dúkskot var einn hinna síðustu torfbæja við Miðbæinn. Hann var rifinn um 1920.
