Leipzig, Universität, Botanischer Garten, Botanikunterricht ADN-ZB Grubitzsch 10.8.81 Leipzig: Im Botanischen Garten der Leipziger Karl-Marx-Universität sind zur Zeit Kokospalmen in Miniaturausgaben zu sehen. Als Anschauungsmaterial für ausländische Studenten am Institut für tropische Landwirtschaft nutzt Karl-Heinz Kaletta, Lehrbeauftragter dieses Instituts und Technischer Leiter des Botanischen Gartens, die sechs Wochen junge Palme. Die acht Meter hohe Kokospalme (im Hintergrund), die höchste der DDR, ist bereits 20 Jahre alt.
