For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Halle, Moritzburg
ADN-ZB Lehmann 18.8.80 Halle: Schöne DDR: Inmitten der Saalestadt Halle liegt das romantische Gemäuer der Moritzburg, die vor einem halben Jahrtausend als stark befestigte Bischofsresidenz gegründet wurde. Heute zählt die Burg zu den beliebtesten Musentempeln der Hallenser und ihrer Gäste. Die bekannteste der hier beheimateten Kulturstätten ist die Staatliche Galerie, mit ihren reichen Kunstsammlungen eins der bedeutendsten Museen der DDR. Einmalig in seiner Art ist das Fernsehtheater des Studios Halle, das durch die Übertragungen weit bekannt ist. In den Gwölben und Türmen haben außerdem ein Weinrestaurant, das Kabarett "Die Kiebitzensteiner" und ein FDJ-Studentenklub der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg eine Bleibe gefunden. |
