For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Ernst-Thälmann-Straße, Springbrunnen ADN-ZB Zimmermann 27.8.1979 Dresden: Modern und attraktiv präsentiert sich heute die Ernst-Thälmann-Straße in Dresden. Sie ist mit ihren zahlreichen Geschäften ein beliebtes Einkaufszentrum. 1949 standen zu beiden Seiten der ehemaligen König-Johann-Straße nur Ruinen.
