ADN-ZB Zimmermann 23.6.78-pe Berlin: Atelier und Bühne. Ideenreiche Arbeiten und Entwürfe können Besucher im Atelier für Stahl- und Metallgestaltung von Achim Kühn (3. v.r.) in Berlin-Grünau kennenlernen. Der 33jährige Künstler, Sohn des berühmten Metallgestalters Prof. Fritz Kühn, hat in der väterlichen Werkstatt die Meisterprüfung und an der Hochschule für Architektur und Bauwesen in Weimar das Diplom abgelegt. Thema seiner Diplomarbeit war "Die Umgestaltung des Platzes der Akademie" - daher ist Achim Kühn mit seinen Mitarbeitern seit 1967 mit Arbeiten für dieses umfangreiche Projekt beschäftigt. Einige seiner bekannten Arbeiten in Berlin sind die Eingangstore zur Marienkirche und die Brunnenplastik im Volkspark Friedrichshain, unter deren Wasserglocke man trocken stehen kann. Die acht Mitarbeiter der Werkstatt - darunter zwei Lehrlinge - schaffen vorwiegend moderne Werke aus Stahl, Kupfer, Messing, Aluminium, auch aus Plaste und Beton. Die Figuren für das ehemalige Schauspielhaus werden nach Gipsmodellen aus Kupferblech frei getrieben. Abgebildete Personen:
