For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Erfurt, Bauarbeiter und Bauleiter mit Bauplan ADN-ZB Ludwig-22.3.78 Erfurt: Die umfangreichste Verjüngungskur der Erfurter Altstadt erfolgt z.Z. in einem über 11.000 Quadratmeter großen Rekonstruktionsgebiet zwischen Domplatz und Fischmarkt. Viele schwierige Aufgaben haben die Bauarbeiter beim Restaurieren historischer Fassaden und beim modernen Innenausbau der teilweise unter Denkmalschutz stehenden Gebäude zu meistern. Da schauen Brigadier Edgar Kollascheck, Bauleiter Hans-Günter Cornarius und Baufacharbeiter Ulli Kamrodt (vlnr) lieber einmal mehr auf die Bauzeichnungen. Rund 12 Millionen Mark haben die Erfurter "Stadtväter" in diesem Jahr für die Rekonstruktion des Stadtkerns vorgesehen.
