For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Postplatz, Ehrenstelle "Die Toten verpflichten uns für den Frieden zu kämpfen" Am 13.-14. Februar 1950 sind 5 Jahre seit den schrecklichen anglo-amerikanischen Bombenangriffen auf Dresden vergangen. Tausende von Männern, Frauen und Kindern wurden hingemordet, höchste Kulturwerte sinnlos vernichtet. Die Toten mahnen uns "Kämpft für den Frieden" - Dresden ersteht neu aus den Ruinen. UBz: Die Ehrenstelle am Dresdner Postplatz, wo auch ein Kranz von Wilhelm Pieck durch Max Seydewitz niedergelegt wurde. Aufn.: Illus Klügel 1 5540-50 24.2.50
