Dresden, Matthäuskirche ADN-ZB Häßler 17.12.1977 Dresden: Die Matthäuskirche in Dresden, im zweiten Weltkrieg schwer beschädigt, wurde von dem als Erbauer des Dresdner Zwingers und des Schlosses Pillnitz berühmt gewordenen Architekten Daniel Pöppelmann (1662-1736) geschaffen. Die Rekonstruktion des historisch wertvollen Gebäudes, die mit einem Wiederaufbau zu vergleichen ist, steht jetzt vor der Vollendung.

English: Dresden, St. Matthew's Church St. Matthew's Church in Dresden, heavily damaged during World War II, was built by architect Daniel Pöppelmann (1662-1736), who is famous as the creator of the Dresden Zwinger and the Castle Pillnitz. Reconstruction of this historically valuable building, which is comparable to its complete rebuilding, is now nearing completion.
