For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.

Das von der provisorischen Volkskammer verabschiedete Umsiedlergesetz sowie das Gesetz über die Entschuldung und die Kredithilfe für Klein- und Mittelbauern bringen aufs neue die erfolgreiche Wirtschaftspolitik der Regierung der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik zum Ausdruck und werden allgemein freudig begrüßt. Neubauer Franz Engel aus Neudiedendorf bei Erfurt z.B. sagte folgendes dazu: "Das neue Gesetz über Entschuldung und Kredithilfe gibt mir die Möglichkeit, eine neue Wasserleitung zur Berieselung des Gemüses zu bauen und damit zur Erfüllung des Fünfjahrplans beizutragen".

UBz: Neubauer Franz Engel diskutiert auf dem Felde mit seinen Nachbarn die Zeitungsmeldung über das neue Gesetz.
