For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Warnemünde, Strandbad, Rutsche ADN-ZB DDR 10.7.1974 cu Rostock: Erholung am Strand von Warnemünde Unverwechselbar durch das Hochhaus des Hotels "Neptun" - der Ostseestrand von Warnemünde. Genutzt wird das Gebäude, das eine Kapazität von über 700 Betten hat, als Ferien-, Sport-, Kur- und Kongreßhotel. Jährlich verleben hier viele Werktätige, vor allem Schichtarbeiter und auch kinderreiche Familien durch vermittlung des Feriendienstes des Freien Deutschen Gewerkschaftbundes (FDGB) ihren Urlaub. - Warnemünde, ein Stadtteil der Hafenstadt Rostock, gehört wegen seiner günstigen Verkehrslage zu den meistbesuchten Ostseebädern. In diesem Jahr erwartet der Bezirk Rostock, der als größtes Erholungsgebiet der DDR gilt, über zwei Millionen Urlauber und Touristen. Reporter: Pommerening Copyright: ADN-Zentralbild
