For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Frachter ADN-ZB Sindermann 27.6.1974-ku - Rostock: 30 000. Schiff im Hafen. Als 30 000. Schiff des Rostocker Überseehafens lief am 27.6.1974 das polnische Motorschiff "Stanislaw Moniuszko" ein. Es kommt aus seinem Heimathafen Gdynia und wird in Rostock mit Lokomotiven und Autodrehkranen beladen, die für fernöstliche Häfen bestimmt sind. Im Rostocker Überseehafen werden jährlich etwa 40 bis 50 polnische Schiffe abgefertigt, die fast ausschließlich zusammen mit DDR-Frachtern gemeinsame Schiffslinien befahren.
