For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Orlatal, Stausee zur Bewässerung ADN-ZB Liebers-10.4.72 Bez. Gera: Höhere Erträge durch Melioration. 100.000 Kubikmeter faßt der Stausee, den die Genossenschaftsbauern der Kooperation Orlatal im Kreis Pößneck zur zusätzlichen Bewässerung von Gemüse- und Futterkulturen angelegt haben. Insgesamt fünf solcher Wasserreservoire werden sie bis Jahresende 1972 in Nutzung nehmen. Sie dienen gleichzeitig der Naherholung und der Fischzucht. Durch diese umfangreichen Maßnahmen wollen die in der Kooperation zusammengefaßten 10 LPG und VEG die Hektarerträge bedeutend steigern. (vergl. L0410-22N)
