For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Meliorationsarbeiten, Drainage ADN-ZB Liebers-10.4.72 Bez. Gera: Höhere Erträge durch Melioration. Rund 1500 Meter Plasterohre verlegt die Meliorationsbrigade der Kooperation Orlatal täglich. Die Orlataler Genossenschaftsbauern nutzen alle Potenzen der zusammengeschlossenen 10 LPG und VEG beim Meliorieren von mehr als 900 Hektar Ackerfläche. Von den 8000 Hektar, die sie gemeinsam bewirtschaften, sind nur noch etwa 4% meliorationsbedürftig. Diese guten Ergebnisse waren nur durch die hervorragende Einsatzbereitschaft der Genossenschaftsbauern und die seit Jahren bewährte Zusammenarbeit mit dem agrochemischen Zentrum Neustadt-Orla möglich.
