For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Eisenberg, Krankenhaus für Orthopädie Zentralbild Liebers 8.9.70 Bez. Gera: Krankenhaus für Orthopädie in Eisenberg- Die chirurgischen Leistungen des von Prof. Dr. med. habil. Unger (r.) geleiteten Rudolf-Elle-Krankenhauses in Eisenberg fanden international Anerkennung. Seit 1951 entwickelte sich eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Ländern. In den letzten 16 Jahren wurden in der ostthüringischen Klinik über 1 200 Patienten aus 24 Ländern betreut. Zahlreiche ausländische Ärzte und Orthopäden nehmen die Gelegenheit wahr, in diesem Krankenhaus Fachkenntnisse zu erwerben.
