For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Baustelle Kraftwerk Thierbach, polnische Monteure Zentralbild Koch 20.3.1968 Leipzig: Ausbau eines 100-Meter hohen Kühlturmes.....auf der Baustelle des 800-MW-Kraftwerkes Thierbach. Waclaw Sawada gehört zu den polnischen Spezialisten, die die vier Kühltürme und den 300m hohen Schornstein des Kraftwerkes errichten. Sie haben bisher bereits einen Planvorsprung von zwei Metern erreicht. Neben Baubetrieben aus der DDR werden sowjetische und ungarische Spezialisten beim weiteren Aufbau des Großkraftwerkes mitarbeiten.
