For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild/Löwe 2.9.1960 Neues Dienstleistungskombinat in Dresdens Stadtzentrum Oberhemden innerhalb von 24 Stunden gewaschen und gebügelt. Ein neues Dienstleistungskombinat hat jetzt im Zentrum von Dresden am Postplatz seinen Betrieb aufgenommen und erfreut sich sowohl bei der Bevölkerung als auch bei den vielen durchreisenden Gästen großer Beliebtheit. Vorläufig umfasst das Kombinat einen Oberhemden und Schuh-Express-Dienst,sowie eine Repassierabteilung für Damenstrümpfe. Besonderen Zuspruch erfreut sich jetzt bereits der Oberhemden-Express-Dienst. Der Kunde entnimmt sich aus einem Automaten nach Einwurf eines 2-DM-Stückes einen Beutel, in der er bis zu drei Oberhemden einlegen kann (linkes foto). Ihn wirft er danach in eine Art Briefkasten des Kombinats. Schon 24 Stunden später kann er dann in der Ausgabe seine Wäsche frisch gewaschen und gebügelt in Empfang nehmen(rechtes Foto).
