For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Auslaufender Frachter Zentralbild Mellahn Ni-Ga 17.8.60 Rostock: 65 Schiffe seit Inbetriebnahme Seit Inbetriebnahmen des neuen Rostocker Überseehafens haben bereits 65 Schiffe, darunter 36 ausländische Frachter aus 9 Ländern im Hafenbecken B ihre Waren gelöscht bzw. an Bord genommen. Bisher wurden 103000 Tonnen güter umgeschlagen. Auf der Freiladefläche entsteht die erste der drei 16-Tonnen-Freiladebrücken. Auch mit dem Bau der zweiten 360 Meter langen Kaihalle wurde bereits begonnen. UBz: Der italienische Frachter "Enrico M" aus Palermo verläßt mit einer Ladung Kali für Indien den Rostocker Überseehafen.
