For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild Pommerching We-No 10.5.1960 Erster ausländischer Frachter im neuen Überseehafen Als erstes ausländisches Schiff hat im neuen Rostocker Überseehafen der sowjetische Frachter "Tosno" festgemacht. Er hat 1200 Tonnen Rohkautschuk aus England an Bord. Mit allen vier Portalkränen wurde sofort mit dem Umschlag der Waren in Waggons begonnen. Der 10000 Tonnen-Frachter "Schwerin" ist bereits entladen worden und rüstet nach einem kurzen Werftaufenthalt zu einer Fahrt nach Indonesien. UBz: 600000 Tonnen Güter sollen noch in diesem Jahr im neuen Rostocker Überseehafen umgeschlagen werden. Im Hintergrund die NS "Schwerin"
