For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Friedensfahrt, Mannschaft der DDR
Zentralbild Ks-Noa 28.4.1960 - DDR-Friedensfahrer auf dem Wege nach Prag. Herzlich verabschiedet wurden die DDR-Friedensfahrer am 27.4.1960 am Grenzübergang in Schmilka von der Bevölkerung und den deutschen Grenzpolizisten. Um 10.10 Uhr schlossen sich die rot-weißen Grenzpforten hinter dem kleinen Skoda-Bus und dem Materialwagen, die von der CSR bereitgestellt worden waren, und mit denen Trainer Weissbrod, Kapitän Gustav Adolf Schur, Günter Lörke, Bernhard Eckstein, Erich Hagen, Johannes Schober, Mechaniker Winkler und Rennarzt Dr. Israel den letzten Teil des Weges zum Etappenziel nach Prag antragen. UBz: Zum letzten Mal vor dem Grenzübertritt stellen sich die Fahrer dem Fotografen. vlnr: Gustav-Adolf Schur, Bernhard Eckstein, Egon Adler, Erich Hagen, Günter Lörke und Trainer Weissbrod. |
