For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Vorführung einer Meliorationsmaschine Zentralbild Mellahn 2.4.1960 Neue Maschinen für Melioration. In der MTS Friesack, Kreis Nauen, dem zentralen Konsultationspunkt für Mechanisierung der Meliorationsarbeiten fand dieser Tage eine Vorführung der neuesten Maschinen auf dem Gebiet der Melioration statt. Landwirtschaftsexperten aus allen Teilen der Republik holten sich hier wertvolle Anregungen für die erweiterte Mechanisierung der Melioration für ihren Bezirk. UBz: Der neue Eimerkettenbagger Typ Holzendorf wurde von Brigadier Truhn, MTS Holzendor, für die Grabenwiederherstellung entwickelt und wird jetzt in der MTS Spezialwerkstatt Oschersleben in einer größeren Stückzahl für die Meliorationsabteilungen de rMTS gefertigt. Das Gerät kann Gräben bis zu einer Tiefe von 2 m und einer beliebigen Böschungsneigung herstellen.
