For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Bülow, Dorfbibliothekar im Gespräch Zentralbild Köhne Kl-Qu 2.12.1959 Mit 82 Jahren einer der besten Dorfbibliothekare des Bezirks Schwerin. Einer der rührigsten ehrenamtlichen Dorfbibliothekare des Bezirks Schwerin ist der fast 82jährige Friedrich Brockmöller in Bülow, Kreis Schwerin. Mehr als die Hälfte aller Einwohner seines kleinen Dorfes konnte er als Leser gewinnen; über 2000 Bücher leiht er im Jahr aus. "Als ich 1950 nach Bülow kam, lag die Bücherei völlig brach", berichtet Friedrich Brockmöller. "Ich konnte es nicht mit ansehen, dass die schönen Bände ungenutzt herumstanden und habe sich gemeldet, sie auszugeben. Ich habe nicht gewartet, bis Leser gekommen sind, sondern bin selbst zu den Einwohnern gegangen und habe ihnen die passende Literatur empfohlen." UBz: Zu Fuß und auch mit dem Fahrrad trifft man "Opa" Brockmöller mit einigen Büchern unter dem Arm oft an, wenn er seinen Kunden neuen Lesestoff anzubieten hat. Bei einer Buchausleihe auf der Dorfstrasse vlnr: Das Rentnerehepaar Ernst und Frieda Müller und Friedrich Brockmöller.
