Luis Carlos Prestes besuchte Ravensbrück
Der Generalsekretär der brasilianischen Kommunistischen Partei, Luis Carlos Prestes, besuchte am 28.11.1959 die nationale Mahn- und Gedenkstätte Ravensbrück. In dieses ehemalige Konzentrationslager hatten die Faschisten auch die tapfere Lebens- und Kampfgefährtin von Prestes, die deutsche Antifaschistin Olga Benario-Prestes verschleppt, die als Mitarbeiterin des Zentralkomittees des Kommunistischen Jugendverbandes stets für die Interessen der Arbeiterklasse eingetreten war.
