For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.

Die Werktätigen des Schwerindustriebaus "Georgi Dimitroff" in Magdeburg haben sich die Aufgabe gestellt, tatkräftig zur Ausrüstung des FDGB-Urlauberschiffes beizutragen. Sie wollen an die Mathias-Thesen-Werft drei Sug-Anker "Gruson 3500", einen Stockanker "1250" und 1000-Meter-Stahlgußkette von 54 Millimeter Stärke liefern. In zahlreichen Erklärungen verpflichteten sich die Arbeiter aus den Warmbetrieben des Werkes, die Fertigung dieser Schiffsausrüstung kostenlos auszuführen.

UBz. Wie große Brezeln sehen die Glieder der Schiffsketten aus. Der vierfache Aktivist Philipp Weber putzt sie mit dem Pressluftmeißel.
