Mehr leisten und dabei noch leichter arbeiten
Der VEB Stahlbau in Magdeburg liefert hauptsächlich Gittermasten für das Chemieprogramm und für die Kohlen- und Energiebetriebe. Bis 1965 wird der Betrieb seine Produktion um hundert Prozent steigern. Werkmeister Walter Nabel hat sich die Aufgabe gestellt, seinen Kollegen die Arbeit durch den Bau von Vorrichtungen zu erleichtern und gleichzeitig die Produktion zu steigern. Eine von ihm geschaffene Drehvorrichtung dient der Erleichterung der Montage von Gittermasten und spart über 35 000 DM im Jahr ein.

UBz.: Schmied Werner Schultze und Nietvorhalter Ernst Opolka bei der Arbeit an der Drehvorrichtung. Die Montage der Gittermasten wird dadurch ungemein erleichtert, da sie mühelos gedreht und immer in die jeweils günstigste Lage gebracht werden können.
