Berlin, Neujahrsfest im Rathaus, Tanzdarbietung Zentralbild Zühlsdorf 1.1.1959 Glanzvoller Jahresausklang im Berliner Rathaus. Festlicher Ausklang des für die DDR so erfolgreichen Jahres 1958 war die glanzvolle Silvesterfeier des ZK der SED, des Ministerrates und des Nationalrates der Nationalen Front im Roten Rathaus der Hauptstadt Berlin am 31.12.1958. Mehr als tausend Gäste vereinigten sich in den prächtig ausgestatteten Sälen und Wandelhallen mit den Repräsentanten der DDR, an ihrer Spitze der Erste Sekretär des ZK der SED, Walter Ulbricht, Ministerpräsident Otto Grotewohl und der Präsident des Nationalrates Prof. Dr. Erich Correns. UBz: Die kleinen Schornsteinfeger wünschen alle Gute für das Jahr 1959 (Ausschnitt aus dem Kulturprogramm)
