Neuer Dieselmotor entwickelt: Verpflichtung 8 Tage früher erfüllt
Das Konstrukteur-Kollektiv Lippoldt im Schwermaschinenbau ?Karl-Liebknecht? in Magdeburg hatte die Verpflichtung übernommen, die Konstruktion eines neuen Dieselmotors bis 15. Oktober abzuschliessen. Das Kollektiv hat diese Aufgabe mit acht Tagen Zeitvorsprung gelöst und die komplette Konstruktion am Tag der Republik als Geschenk dargebracht. Es handelt sich um den Motor ?NVD 60? der als Sechs-Zehnzylindermotor gebaut wird. In der Ausführung als Saugmotor leistet er je Zylinder 140 PS; in der Ausführung mit Abgas-Turbolader 220 PS je Zylinder.

Ubz:Drei Nachwuchs-Ingenieure, die an der Entwicklung des neuen Motors maßgeblich beteiligt waren: Aktivist Ing. Gerd Bischoff, Teilkonstrukteur Ingeborg Biedermann und TeilkonstrukteurEdgar Leitel, der sich durch Besuch der Abendschule vom Dreher zum Techniker qualifiziert hat und vor der Technikerprüfung steht.
