For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild-Biscan 23.4.1957 Erfolgreiche Baugenossenschaft in Magdeburg 800 zerstörte Wohnungen wieder aufgebaut. Die Heimstätten-Baugenossenschaft in Magdeburg-Westernplan ist zwar nicht die größte Baugenossenschaft in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik, aber eine sehr erfolgreiche. Sie verlor während des Krieges durch Bomben 52 % ihres Bestandes an Wohnraum und 40 % wurde beschädigt. Durch 9 Millionen DM staatliche Kredite und 2 Millionen eigene Mittel war es möglich, daß die Baugenossenschaft in den vergangenen Jahren 800 der zerstörten Wohnungen wieder instandsetzen und 600 Wohnungen neu bauen. Weitere 130 Wohnungen sind augenblicklich im Bau. |
