Zentralbild Gerbth 20.3.1957 Deutsches Kunsthandwerk wird weiterentwickelt. Institut für künstlerische Werkgestaltung Etwa 130 Studenten, davon die Hälfte Arbeiter- und Bauernkinder, werden gegenwärtig im Institut für künsterlische Werkgestaltung in Halle ausgebildet. Das Institut ist in der DDR das einzige seiner Art. Während einer fünfjährigen Ausbildungszeit erwerben such die Studierenden in den Werkstätten der Abteilungen Metall, Email, Textil, angewandte Malerei, angewandte Plastik, angewandte Grafik, Bau- und Raumgestaltung bei entsprechender theoretischer Ergänzung die Fähigkeiten, später in Entwurfs- und Entwicklungsstellen der Industri als Künstler tätig zu sein. UBz: Hoch über dem steilen Felsenufer der Saale erhebt sich die Burg Giebichenstein. Bis ins 15. jahrhundert Sitz der Erzbischöfe von Magdeburg, wurde dort vor ungefähr 40 Jahren eine Kunstgewerbeschule gegründet. Nach 1945 wurde diese das Institut für künstlerische Werkgestaltung. |
