For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Erfurt, Mao-Tse-Tung-Ring, Wohnhaus Zentralbild Blumenthal 3.5.1957 Ber-Noa. Durch Zusammenlegung von Behörden wurden in Erfurt 87 Wohnungen gewonnen. Auf einer Aktivtagung der SED wurde in Erfurt vorigen Jahres beschlossen, zusätzlichen Wohnraum durch das Zusammenlegen von Behörden zu gewinnen. Durch die großzügige Hilfe der Abteilung Wohnraumlenkung vom Rat der Stadt Erfurt sowie durch die Initiative einer Reihe von Behörden, der Volkspartei und der SED, konnten in der Zeit vom 1.10.1956 - 1.5.1957 87 Wohnungen in Erfurt wieder ihrem ursprünglichen Zwecke zugeführt werden. In das Haus Mao-Tse-tung-ring 92, das von der SED-Stadtleitung freigemacht wurde, werden mehrere Familien einziehen. Die Zuteilung der Wohnungen erfolgte in diesem Falle durch die BGL des VEB Starkstrom-Anlagenbau Erfurt in Zusammenarbeit mit der Abteilung Wohnraumlenkung beim Rat der Stadt Erfurt.
