For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Ottersleben, Pflege von Saatkartoffeln Zentralbild Biscan Me-Th 23.31956 Meisterbauer Hartmann für die Frühjahrsbestellung vorbereitet. Meisterbauer Walter Hartmann ein werktätiger Einzelbauer in Ottersleben bei Magdeburg, hat sich auf die Frühjahrsbestellung gut vorbereitet. Das Frühkartoffel-Pflanzgut hat er zum Vorkeimen aufgestellt, vom Hafer-, Sommerwicken, Mais- und Sonnenblumen-Saatgut hat er je hundert Körner zu Keimproben benutzt, um die richtige Saatgutmenge ermitteln zu können. UBz: Blick in einen Nebenraum des Stalles, in dem Meisterbauer Hartmann sein Frühkartoffelpflanzgut zum Vorkeimen aufgestellt hat. (Im Hintergrund) Koll. Hartmann beim Beschicken der kleinen Grude, die den Raum gleichmässig warm hält. Hartmann rechnet damit, die Frühkartoffeln in drei bis vier Wochen auspflanzen zu können.
