For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild Wlocka-Wendorf 17.2.56 DDR-Wintersportmeisterschaften in Oberhof Am 16.2.56 wurde mit dem Sprunglauf für die Nordische Kombination der neue DDR-Meister in dieser Disziplin ermittelt. UBz: Gerhard Glass auf dem Anlaufturm. Die Leistungen des Klingenthaler Aufbau-Sportlers enttäuschten die Erwartungen. Bei Sprüngen von 65 (sechs fünf) und 68 (sechs acht) m war seine Skiführung unruhig und der Aufsprung nicht vollkommen sicher. Er kam auf den 7. Platz.
