For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dampflok (BR 55), Lokbrigade Zentralbild TBD-Wittig 9.6.1955 -2998- Zum "Tag des Eisenbahner" am 12.6.1955. Vorbildliche Komplexbrigade der Rangierer vom Güterbahnhof Erfurt. Noch vor einem Jahr bestanden auf dem Erfurter Güterbahnhof sieben Rangiererkolonnen und jede Kolonne bildete eine Brigade. Jede Brigade hatte eine eigene Norm, eigenen Wettbewerb usw. Die Kollegen Rangierer erkannten, dass die gesamte Leistung einer Schicht ausschlaggebend ist und schlossen deshalb alle Kollegen einer Arbeitsschicht zu einer Komplexbrigade zusammen. Dazu gehören: Die Rangierer, das Rangierlokpersonal, der Stellwerkdienst, der Wagenmeister und der Zugabfertigungsdienst. Ziel der Komplexbrigade ist, den Wagenumlauf zu beschleunigen, die Zahl der Unfälle zu vermindern und Verspätungen auszuschalten.
