For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Technische Hochschule, Studentenwohnheim Zentralbild Höhne-Pohl 12 Mot. 9.11.1954 Wiederaufbau in Dresden. Unter dem Bombenhagel der anglo-amerikanischen Terrorflieger sank Dresden am 13.2.45 in Schutt und Asche. Heute ersteht Dresden neu. Die historischen Kunstdenkmäler wie der weltberühmte zwinger und die Semper-Oper werden in ihrer alten Gestalt wiederaufgebaut. UBz: Für 1600 Studenten der Technischen Hochschule in Dresden werden 2 Studentenheime gebaut. Der Südflügel des Studentenheimes an der Reichsstrasse ist bereits bezogen.
