For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Semper-Oper Zentralbild Höhne-Pohl 12 Mot. 9.11.1954 Wiederaufbau in Dresden. Unter dem Bombenhagel der anglo-amerikanischen Terrorflieger sank Dresden am 13.2.45 in Schutt und Asche. Heute ersteht Dresden neu. Die historischen Kunstdenkmäler wie der weltberühmte Zwinger und die Semper-Oper werden in ihrer alten Gestalt wiederaufgebaut. UBz: 440000 DM spendeten die Dresdner Bevölkerung, die Betriebe und Massenorganisationen für die Sicherungsarbeiten an der Semper-Oper, die im II. Fünfjahrplan unserer Republik wieder aufgebaut wird.
