For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Wallwitz, Kontrolle des Getreides Zentralbild Schmiljan 7.7.1953 Ernte 1953 in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik Der Mähdrescherführer Aktivist Erich Engler von der MTS Wallwitz, Saalkreis, erntet mit dem "Stalinez" auf den Feldern der Produktionsgenossenschaften "Frohe Zukunft" in Domnitz und "Friedenshort", Nauendorf. Die Spitzenleistung am ersten Tage betrug in einer Stunde 86 Ztr. Wintergerste auf dem Feld der LPG "Friedenshort". Das 2, 25 ha grosse Feld der LPG "Frohe Zukunft" wurde in 2 1-2 Stunden abgemäht, gedroschen und abgefahren. UBz: vlnr: Der Vorsitzende der Genossenschaft "Frohe Zukunft" Richard Zarski, der Stellvertretende Leiter der Politischen Abteilung der MTS Wallwitz Fritz Kemp, der Leiter der Politischen Abteilung der MTS Wallwitz Willi Gast, der Mähdrescherführer Aktivist Erich Engler und Bestarbeiter Friedrich Geyer, der zur Mähdrescherbesatzung gehört. Sie begutachten den Feuchtigkeitsgehalt der Wintergerste, bevor der "Stalinez" mit der Arbeit beginnt.
