Leipzig, Dorotheenplatz, Neubauten Zum Beitrag: Wo einst Apels Garten lag - Modernes Leipziger Wohngebiet mit reizvollen Reminiszenzen ADN-ZB Gahlbeck 7.3.1989 Blick auf den Dorotheenplatz in der Leipziger inneren Westvorstadt, wo der erste innerstädtische Wohnungsbaukomplex der Messestadt vor seiner Vollendung steht. Zu den bemerkenswerten Eindrücken hier gehört, daß es gelungen ist, mit der Bebauung die Konturen des einstigen Apelschen Gartengeländes wieder sichtbar zu machen: Fächerartig öffnen sich die neuen sechsgeschossigen Häuser für den Lauf der vom Platz abzweigenden Straßen. Mit ihrer geschwungenen Form, mit Eck-Erkern und kleinteiligen Fenstern sollen sie auch barocke Vorstellungen anklingen lassen. (Hierzu gehören die Fotos 1989-0307-304N-303N!)
