For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dampflok 02 0201-0 (BR 02), Dampflok 03 1010-2 (BR 03) ADN-ZB Deutsche Demokratische Republik 15.6.1988 Alte Dampfloks wohlbehütet (Serie - 3 Motive) . In einem Lokomotivschuppen der Deutschen Reichsbahn in Halle stehen diese beiden Prachtstücke (Foto) aus der "Oldtimergarde". "Dampfroß" 020201-0 -heute mit Ölhauptfeuerung- ist die schnellste dampfbetriebene Lokomotive der Welt: Mit 1 850 PS ausgerüstet, brachte sie 182,5 km-h auf die Schienen. Von den einstmals etwa 60 Lokomotiven der Baureihe 03 (r.) . die Ende der 30er Jahre gebaut wurden, ist diese übriggeblieben. Mit einem Dreizylindertriebwerk erreicht sie eine Spitzengeschwindigkeit von 182,5 km/h. Mehrere Hallenser Eisenbahner nahmen die einst offiziell eingesetzten Schnellzuglokomotiven in persönliche Wartung und Pflege. -siehe auf 308 u. 309 N- Reporter: Lehmann Copyright: ADN-Zentralbild Berlin-DDR
