Quedlinburg, Marktplatz, Rathaus ADN-ZB Gahlbeck 29.10.86 Bez. Halle: Der Quedlinburger Marktplatz mit dem Rathaus bildet den Mittelpunkt des historischen Stadtkerns, der seit 1962 unter Denkmalschutz steht. Das Rathaus, 1310 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt, hat noch heute seine aus dem Jahre 1616 stammende Renaissance-Fassade. Bemerkenswert an dem zweigeschossigen Bau sind auch ein Prunkportal und eine siebenstufige Freitreppe. (siehe 7N)
