For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Semperoper, Foyer ADN-ZB Hiekel 11.2.86 Dresden: Semperoper. Ein Besuch in der Semperoper ist ein Erlebnis, nicht nur wegen der Aufführungen, sondern auch wegen der einmaligen Innenarchitektur des Bauwerkes. Die Rundfoyers - hier auf der Theaterplatzseite - wurden von Bauarbeitern und Handwerkern originalgetreu nachgestaltet. Foyers und Vestibüle waren bei dem Bombenangriff am 13. Februar 1945 zwar nicht völlig zerstört, aber stark in Mitleidenschaft gezogen worden. Am 40. Jahrestag der Zerstörung des Opernhauses, am 13.2.85, nahm es den Spielbetrieb wieder auf. - siehe 29 und 30n und ADN-Meldung -
