For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Schlepper, Lotsenboot ADN-ZB Sindermann 17.1.86-pra - Rostock: Seelotsen - Für die sichere Fahrt aller in- und ausländischen Schiffe im Rostocker Hafenrevier sorgen rund 40 Seelotsen gemeinsam mit den Schlepperbesatzungen der Bagger-, Bugsier- und Bergungsreederei. Im Rostocker Bereich werden jährlich bis zu 10 400 Schiffsbewegungen durchgeführt. Schiffsgrößen bis zu 70.000 Tonnen Gesamtverdrängung stellen hohe Anforderungen an das menschliche Können von Lotsen und Schlepperbesatzungen, um die großen "Pötte" sicher zu den Liegeplätzen und zurück in die offene See zu geleiten. - siehe auch 1986-0117-11 und 12N
