For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Frachter ADN-ZB Sindermann 9.10.84 Rostock: Seehafen - Reger Betrieb herrscht unter den Krananlagen des Rostocker Überseehafens, an dessen Kais bisher Schiffe aus rund 65 Ländern festgemacht haben. Die Werktätigen des Hafens und seiner Kooperationsbetriebe haben in diesem Jahr bereits 15 Millionen Tonnen Güter umgeschlagen - eine gute Ausgangsposition zum Erfüllen der Jahresauflage vo 19, 3 Millionan Tonnen. Im kommenden Jahr soll der Gesamtumschlag auf 21, 3 Millionen Tonnen Güter aller Art steigen. Der größte DDR-Seeumschlagplatz ist mit rund 400 Häfen aller Kontinente verbunden. Er gilt als schneller und zuverlässiger Partner bei seinen Kunden und bei den Seeleuten. (siehe auch 4, 5 und 10 N)
