For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Gotha, Schloss Friedenstein ADN-ZB Ludwig-18.6.84 Bez. Erfurt: Rekonstruktion- Die Kreisstadt Gotha, 775 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt, gehört zu den ältesten Orten in der DDR. Entsprechend einer langfristigen Konzeption erfolgen jetzt Arbeiten zum Schutz der Baudenkmale, der Verbesserung der Wohnqualität und zur Verschönerung des Stadtbildes.- Blick zum Westturm des Schlosses Friedenstein, in dem sich das Ekhof-Theater befindet. Es ist das einzige in seinen technischen Einrichtungen nahezu vollständig erhaltene deutsche Theater aus der Barockzeit. Es wurde 1683 geschaffen Conrad Ekhof gilt als "Vater der deutschen Schauspielkunst".-siehe auch 1984-0618-5N-
