For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Eisenach, "Residenzhaus"
ADN -ZB-Ludwig-16.12.82 Bez. Erfurt: Sorgsam gepflegte historische Bauten findet man in Eisenach in der näheren Umgebung des Marktes. Das "Residenzhaus" aus dem 16. Jahrhundert gehört dazu, ein Fachwerkbau mit hohem Giebel. In der Nähe befindet sich das Schloß (Hintergrund rechts), in dem Goethe wiederholt weilte und das heute das Thüringer Museum Eisenach beherbergt. Die Stadt an der Wartburg verdankt ihre Berühmtheit vor allem dem Wirken Martin Luthers, aber auch Goethe, Wieland, Klopstock und Angehörige der Familie Bach unterhielten Verbindungen zu Eisenach. |
