For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Dresden, Zwinger, Kronentor
ADN-ZB/Deutsche Demokratische Republik Kunststadt Dresden, Dresdner Zwinger Blick auf das Kronentor, den Eingang des weltberühmten Dresdner Zwingers, der nach schweren Zerstörungen im zweiten Weltkrieg bis 1964 wiederaufgebaut wurde. Der Zwinger, eines der Hauptwerke der deutschen Barockkunst, wurde 1711-32 als höfischer Repräsentationsbau geschaffen. In dem Gebäudekomplex sind heute 11 Museen untergebracht. Das bedeutenste ist die Galerie Alter Meister. 1982 |
