Magdeburg, Nicolai-Stifts-Kirche, Ruine Zentralbild Biscan Len-Ho. 7.8.1952 Bergung kulturgeschichtlicher Schätze in Magdeburg Die unter Leitung des Heimatforschers Werner Priegnitz stehende Stadtgeschichtliche Forschungsstelle in Magdeburg hat die Aufgabe, das geschichtliche Baugut im Trümmerfeld der Stadt aufzunehemen und kulturgeschichtliche Bauteile zu bergen. Im Laufe ihrer mehrjährigen Arbeit haben die Mitarbeiter dieser Forschungsstelle unter den Trümmern des zerstörten Stadtzentrums viele wertvolle Funde gemacht. Unter anderem sind sie auf die große unterirdische Halle in der Buttergasse gestossen, die heute von der Deutschen Akademie der Wissenschaften bearbeitet wird. Unser Bildbericht schildert die Arbeit der Forschungsstelle. UBz: Die Ruine der ehemaligen Nicolai-Stifts-Kirche, die zur Zeit Sammelplatz für die in den Trümmern aufgefundenen Architekturteile ist und später einmal ein Freilichtmuseum werden soll.
